What is biogas? What is biogas needed for?

Biogas plants produce the so-called “biogas”, by fermentation of biological masses such as liquid manure / solid manure / energy crops or waste from the organic waste bin. The gas can then be used to operate combined heat and power plants, in which electricity and heat are generated. Alternatively, the gas is further refined to biomethane and then fed into the natural gas grid. In short – an ecological way of generating electricity and heat!

Häffner ensures that operators of biogas plants as well as the agricultural wholesale trade have all necessary chemical raw materials for the operation of these environmentally friendly power plants in sufficient quality and quantity at the required date available.

The most important fields of application are in the field of desulphurization as well as operation and maintenance.
