Innovation in hazardous materials transport | Häffner relies on 300l IBCs

In the area of distribution of small liquid quantities, there has so far been no alternative to the unwieldy barrels or small containers, which not only made the logistical processes in filling much more complex, but also led to additional expenditure in transport and load securing. Häffner has now taken this hurdle and is already using the 300l IBC (Intermediate Bulk Container) in real operation. With convincing results!

“Thanks to the use of the 300l IBC, we can not only pick much faster, we can also achieve a tight fit in the loading process without any problems, which of course benefits safety in the transport of hazardous materials,” says Stefan Heidinger, Häffner’s head of production. In addition, the container also makes it easier to take back empties, since securing the load is also much simpler here than with barrels.

Due to the simple and safe stackability, the IBC saves space and also improves work safety in production and storage. This also saves a lot of time and costs!

And the customers also benefit: Many customers who previously purchased their products in barrels can now significantly improve their TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) because they too do benefit from the advantages in handling and safety.

The depth of the 300l IBC corresponds exactly to half a EURO pallet. These dimensions (80 cm x 60 cm x 100 cm) massively facilitate handling in comparison to the usual bung barrels.

“It is a win-win situation”, says Florian Grandel, head of sales at Häffner in Asperg. “With this medium, we are able to offer a solution for problems in distribution that have long been considered unsolvable. With us and our customers”.
